Buffalo Bayou Bikeways

Environmental report and wetland delineation for widening the Buffalo Bayou Bikeways to 14 feet in Buffalo Bayou Park. The bikeways parallel the bayou on north and south sides, and a new bridge would be built at Shepherd Drive.

Quadrant Consultants assessed the environmental impacts for the project, and determined that the project qualifies under a categorical exclusion. Quadrant performed studies of wetlands, socioeconomic conditions, archaeological and historic resources and water and air quality. The project would take a small amount of land from a cemetery (no graves would be relocated), and the assessment includes an analysis of the historic value of the cemetery wall.
