Loop 9 Major Investment Study and Environmental Impact |

Major Investment Study and Environmental Impact Statement for a 50-mile expressway from Mesquite, east of Dallas, to Tarrant County.
Quadrant examined plant communities, wetlands, wildlife habitat, endangered species, park lands and water resources for three alternative corridors. When a landowner told us that he saw endangered golden-cheeked warblers on the proposed right-of-way, Quadrant coordinated with the US Fish & Wildlife Service and the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to develop a study plan and conduct intensive surveys for the species. Surveys were also performed for the threatened interior least tern. Quadrant also determined the extent and type of wetlands in the proposed right-of-way, which are concentrated near the Trinity River.
